There is something so simple, yet so amazing about hope.
Something incredible, a drive like no other I can think of. The thought that things will get better, the want for something more; aspirations, dreams, the ability to try again even when we fail, these things stem from hope.
The hope of becoming more or being better at something, the hope of finding love, the hope that one day things will be brighter, the hope that someone you love will have a better life because of something you did, the hope that you can make a positive impact on the world. Sometimes even when we don't realize it, that tiniest, barely hanging on sliver of hope keeps us driving onward in the darkest of times, in the darkest of nights. Hope can be a subtle nudge or a steamroller of ambition, but hope is something we cling to during our struggles, to help get past our fears, to say, "Yes I can."
Here's a shout-out to that pressing little motivator, nudging from the back of our mind to keep pushing forward. Here's to hope. "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three..." (1Corinthians 13:13a, KJV)
