"Arcana Rising" Graphic Novel Review

Title: Arcana Rising

Author: Miss Xero & Kisai Entertainment & Anzai

Genre: Fantasy, Adventure, Romance

Graphic Novel

Rating: 4/5 stars

This is about a world where characters have marks on their hand that show the level of magic they are able to successfully wield. This naturally creates a class structure and those with the fool mark are mistreated.

First of all, I was reading this graphic novel on Tapas, and I have to say I was so disappointed to find after I got to the 24th episode, there were no more and it was marked completed! Apparently, it wasn't popular enough and they discontinued the graphic novel. But... it was good up until then.

It was an intriguing storyline, fresh ideas and fun characters. I will say, I thought the romance was moving too fast and there were a few scenes where I had to wonder if a person would really act the way the story depicts. However, the overall ideas and the characters kept me engaged enough to still enjoy the story. I would say that if I ran across a completed version of this story elsewhere, I would definitely be interested in finishing it! Maybe on another day I'll pick up the novel and read that instead.

Please note, this review is based on what I was able to read. If I read the entire story it's possible the rating would go up or down.

Clean Read?

This story had a lot of magic, and some sexually suggestive scenes.

Enjoy your next adventure!
