Title: Charlotte's Letter
Author & Artwork: KKomak
Genre: Fantasy
Graphic Novel
Stars: 4/5
Review: I enjoyed that this was a fresh idea and story. I didn't find the style of writing or art lacking in any way. I also wasn't sure what was going to happen, which was a plus.
However, I gave this one four instead of five stars because I found the ending lacking.
--SPOILER--
I felt the ending was rushed and left you hanging a little. The lady worked so hard with her brother to become the head of the house, but then what? I am always one of those readers when I finish a story that goes, "So I wonder where they are now." (Yes, I understand they aren't real!) But this story made me feel like that question doesn't have an answer?
I suppose for the main character, Charlotte, it might, but the female head of the house will just leave happy for a while then ...? Die I guess? She might fund a couple foundations, but even that could have been delved into more. Will they just dissolve once she dies? I felt the ending could have had more and been dug into better.
I would, however, recommend this story overall.
