Title: The Princess is a Gangster
Author: Selina W. Black, (Art) Hiro
Genre: Romance, Comedy
Graphic Novel
Rating: 4/5 stars
This graphic novel had me laughing. I have to admit, the editing left something to be desired, as I noticed quite a few typos and grammatical errors, and the story moved a little quickly, but it was funny.
I will also say some parts felt a little juvenile, but it was enjoyable sufficiently enjoyable for me to overlook those areas. I actually got into the plot and outline enough that if I saw an original novel of this on a shelf in the store, I’d likely purchase it. The main character is fun and easy to cheer on.
In regards to looking at the story from a Christian perspective, I’d have to note there is a premise of reincarnation in the story and some violence. Aside from that, it was a fairly clean read. If you are looking for a deep, intellectual read, this is probably not the pick for you, but if you are looking for a quick, fun read, and a few grammatical errors won’t detract from the story for you, then this might be one you want to pick up.
