(middle school to high school audience)

Graphic Novel

Rating: 4/5 stars

I've read a few of the Warriors series books and am still in the process of going through the graphic novels. I haven't read the original books, but I am enjoying the graphic novels. The books center around feral cats and their experiences in the wild.

In a lot of ways, I really enjoy the series, and because of this, I am going to continue reading. The main reason I am getting into the storylines is because I love animals. It is more aimed toward a younger audience. The reason I didn't give the graphic novels 5 stars is partly because the plot lines aren't very deep, that may be due to the audience it's aimed at though.

Also, I think some of the interactions of the cats are unrealistic. I don't think the books are necessarily going for realism, so maybe that's okay. But part of me wishes if the author is going to take a lot of leeway that they would just make it fantasy. For instance, I've never known so many tomcats be so friendly with each other. But if you can read the story just for the story, and like animals without worrying about every detail being exactly accurate, it's an enjoyable and easy read to sit down with and go through in an afternoon.

Just block the world out and enjoy a simple read.

Clean Read?

I wouldn't exactly say this is a Christian book, however, it is a clean read. You aren't running into nudity, cussing, or anything really distasteful. Even when the cats are fighting, there isn't blood or gore in any of the more violent scenes.

Enjoy your next adventure!
